Dig In: The Devoted Warrior is a curriculum that, over the
course of an intense weekend retreat or spread out over
several weeks, unmasks the lies that the world has been
feeding the teen generation--lies about God and about themselves.
In just seven sessions, teens will learn that there is no neutral
territory--they choose God or they choose Against God.
They'll be challenged to live their faith where others
can see it, not as undercover Christians. Their spiritual roots will
grow deeper as they encounter life truths that empower and equip
them to take their place in God's army of believers with the
sessions: Devoted to the King; True Power; Total Authority;
I'm Yours forever!; Defying the Enemy; His Agents; Courage Under
Fire; Retreat Is Not and Option.
WHAT TO BRING and not to bring!
*Note: Everything must fit into 1 Med-size dufflebag!
Clothing: enough for one week away. Please do not bring any
clothing that has inappropriate designs or sayings on them! You will
need towels, shampoo, soap, deodorant (Please), and any other
items you feel you need to get ready. However, remember that
space is of highest importance and if you bring too much, you might
be sitting with it for 6 hours on your lap!
Bathing suites: You will need one! I don't make a big deal about
this, you should not have to go out and buy a new suite to match
a dress code! However, no Speedos, or string-bikinis, no exceptions.
If the leaders think your suite is questionable, you will be asked to
put a T-shirt on!
Equipment: Pillow, Sleeping bag, Bible, Pencil, and pen!
What not to bring: Secular music! No exceptions! Drugs, Alcohol, or
any Prescription Drug that Michelle, our Practitioner, does not know
you have! Do not bring a bad attitude.
Rules: We will be enforcing our "3 strikes your out policy". That
means, if you break our rules and you have been given 3
warnings, you WILL be sent home! The following list is our 5 rules:
1. You must be no latter then 5 minutes to all scheduled events.
2. You will listen to all designated leaders and abide by their
instructions.
3. You will respect the property of others and the individual rights
of other students attending.
4. You are not to wonder off with a person of the opposite sex.
5. No swearing and absolutely no taking the Lord's name in vain.
6. You will comply to "Lights out" each night.
Immediate suspension rules (Three strikes do not apply):
1. You are not allowed in the cabin of the opposite sex after lights
out, no exceptions allowed.
2. No pranks. We will NOT test the sensitivity of others!
3. Fighting will not be tolerated.
4. No drugs, alcohol or prescription drug that Michelle has
not been made aware of.
